BR 3-11: Staying Together

'I think I need a few months to see things for myself. To glow up a little more. Will you wait for me? Then I'll come back and we can get married.' 'Don't grow up too much, Ikuko. I like you just as you are.' said Hiroshi. Gently he put the ring onto her finger. (p. 8)

     This story is love story of  Japanese. It was my first time to read Japanese love story written by foreigner, so it was fresh for me to read it.
     In this story, Ikuko and Hiroshi love each other, and they are going to getting married. But when Hiroshi asks her to marry him, she tell him that she wants to go abroad to study before marring him. Then, Hiroshi decides to wait for her until she come back to Japan. Also, she promises to go back to Hiroshi and marry him and goes to England. However, she meets one person whose name is Bernard Chiluba in England. while they spend a lot of time together, they fall in love each other. But Ikuko has boyfriend... What does she do? and how about Hiroshi?
     I think there are only a few Japanese love stories written by foreigners. This book also has Japanese feeling when they go abroad such as anxiety excited and so on. So I recommend reading this book if you like love story or you are going abroad.

BR 3-10: Different WORLDS

     Mum said that we can choose how to be in life - happy or sad. She said, 'Life's short, so choose to be happy.' I try never to forget those words. (p. 8)

     What do you think about this book's title "Different worlds" ? What does it mean? Before I read this one, I thought about it but I couldn't get any idea. Then, I understood its mean and  realized that this title is so profound.

     This is a romantic story, but it is not common one. The girl whose name's Sam is a heroin and deaf

girl. She has been deaf since she was born. She can't hear anything, but she have happy life thanks to her mum. One day, she saw a man who works at shop in front of her house. His name is Jim. She saw him working hard and being kind to children, and she falls in love with him. After that, Sam and Jim meet at the party and they spend a pretty good time together. They gradually get along well and they become couple. They loves each other and enjoy their life.

     However, one day Jim's ex-girlfriend before Sam's eyes and tells Sam something. Becuse of her words, Sam begin worrying about Jim. That means she fully feel her different wolrd from Jim's one.

     Do you think Sam recollect her mum's words, and choose happy life? I recommend you this book.

If you like romantic stories, you should read this one. I'm sure that you are impressed.

BR 3-09: BLACK BEAUTY

     'You won't want a whip,' John said. 'Black beauty will go as fast as he can.'

     I have read this book before, but I read again this time because this story is so impressed.

     This book is about horse's life. One horse whose name is Black Beauty. At first, she works for a very kind man and she spends pretty happy life with her friend. But one day, the man and her family have to move, so they sells Black Beauty to others. Then, she have a new family, but they are not kind. Black Beauty has to work for them as slave. Because of it, her body goes bad and she comes not to work well. Therefore, new family begins to thinking that they sells Black Beauty. But she can't work at all, so anyone buy her. Do you think that someone takes care of her? If you think so, who is that? And do you think that Black Beauty can spend good life again?

BR 3-08: SUPERBIRD

'Sam, I'm so happy. I don't know what to say.' 'Well, just kiss me then and make me happy too.' 'Kiss you? How? I don't know how to kiss you.' 'I'll show you. Come here.' (p. 42)

     This book is so different from others which I've read before. It was very interesting. Before I read this book, I knew this outline in Mako's blog. Then, I came to want to read it.
     One day, a spaceship crashes on a strange planet. Then, everyone who is on it dies. But only a person survives. Her name is Mary. She meets many people who speak English. This is her first time to see other planet's people, so she is afraid of them at first. But she gradually comes to get along with them. Especially she gets along with June and her dog. Also she helps people building their own spaceship. After that, she returns her own planet. This is a story from twenty years ago. Then, now she goes to the planet which she went before. But in this trip, some troubles occur. What happens?
     If you want to know, please read it! This is very fantastic story, so I think you should read it. Don't waste your opportunity!

BR 3-07: THE DOUBLE BASS MYSTERY

'More questions! I don't believe it.' I said. 'Only one,' he said. 'I've only got one more question.' And he did ask me one more question. The most surprising question in the world. And my answer? 'I'll think about it.' And I have thought about it. Maybe there is a future after all. I'm going back to Spain tomorrow. (p. 48)

     This book is about detective story. I read this kind of books three times in a row. But this one is the most interesting for me.
     Penny Wade who is musician is enjoying her first visit to Barcelona with her orchestra members. On this trip, two incidents occur. The first one is that Penny's double bass is stolen by someone. The second one is that someone with orchestra is killed by someone. Therefore, Penny reads an article which reports that a famous and expensive picture is stolen by someone. Do these three incidents have any connection? And who stole Penny's double bass? Who killed someone with orchestra? Who stole the picture? There are many mysterious thing. Can you guess criminal?
     I'm sure that you enjoy reading this book.
