BR 2-09: The Wizard of Oz

She kissed her friends and said goodbye again. Then she picked up Toto and closed her eyes. 'East, west home's best,' she said - and jumped. (p. 40)

Do you know about this story? This story is very famous around the world, and there are thirteen sequels to The Wizard of Oz. I've watched the movie, too.
In this story, a girl whose name is Dorothy and her dog whose name is Toto are taken somewhere they don't know by a cyclone. Their adventure begins from here. They hear that the Wizard of Oz can help them, so they try to go and see the him. On their way to him, they meet a scarecrow, a woodman and a cowardly lion who have wishes. Then, they join Dorothy and Toto. They face so difficult problems. Do you think that they can overcome them and realize their wishes?

This story is very interesting. So, please read it.

BR 2-08: The Junkyard Dog

The funny thing is, I didn't mind missing out. I knew Prince was the best dog in the world, and he had saved my life. (p. 32)

Do you like animals? If you find abandoned animals, will you help and take care of them? I love animals so much, so I want to do whatever for them. What do you think about it?

In this book, a girl finds an abandoned dog. The dog is very dirty and always barks, so no one takes care of the dog. At first, the girl is afraid of the dog, too. But after she meets the dog for many times, she comes to get along with the dog. Then, she takes the dog to her house and asks her mother to allow her to take care of the dog at home. Will she be able to do that? Will they be happy? If you know that, please read this book.

In addition, this series is very interesting.
So, please try them!

BR 2-07: The Song

He looks down at her and Lucia looks up at him. But Daniel can't see her. Lucia is there but he doesn't know that. (p. 15)

Have you ever fallen in love with someone? If the person you love is blind, what do you think about it and can you accept it?

In this book, one girl falls in love with one man who is blind. At first, she doesn't know that the man is blind. After she knows about it, she says to him that it is difficult to go about with him. I don't know the reason why she says that. I think that I sometimes have troubles if I become his girl friend, but it is false to give up the idea of going about him. What do you think about it?

I think the ending of this story is so painful. If you want to know the ending of it, please read it.
